5 Kitchen Organization Hacks That Actually Work

Kitchens are just one of those spaces that can be beneficial to get organized because everyone uses it and they use it all the time.

When a space is not organized it’s 100% stressful to spend your time there, IYKYK. No one wants to cook and prep lunches in a space that doesn’t feel good to be in. It also costs you time and energy to move piles around and try and keep it tidy, and there’s the expired food that you don’t even know is there because it’s so hard to find.

So, how do we fix that? By creating easy systems so you can find everything at a moment’s notice. Kitchens can be daunting to organize because there are so many shelves, cabinets, drawers, and don’t even get me started on the products to choose from (sometimes The Container Store can feel like IKEA on a Saturday, amiright?)

Let’s dive in so I can share five quick solutions to our most frequently asked about kitchen hot spots, so you to bring some order to your kitchen.

TIP 1

We love using a lid organizer to keep pots and pans lids from ending up all over the place. Using one makes it really easy to grab the pot and the lid that you need!

TIP 2

Use drawer organizers whenever possible. They're great for kitchen drawers and for keeping smaller categories contained. No one wants to open their drawer and see a mess sliding everywhere, right? These foil and wrap dispensers have quickly become a fave ‘round these parts.

TIP 3

We always recommend getting matching Tupperware sets and storing them with the lids on, This makes it so easy to grab a Tupperware right when you need it. No more searching for lost lid or bottoms!

TIP 4

Use lazy susans to store medication, spices, jars, and so much more! We almost always add these in clients’ homes for oils and vinegars near the stove. It makes it easy to see the entire depth of the shelf with just a flick of the wrist.

TIP 5

Last but not least, use all the space you have, even if it's in the back of a cabinet. We love using these iDesign adhesive bins underneath the kitchen sink to hold dishwashing pods and sponges. You can also use them in bathrooms to hold hair ties, brushes, and soaps.

So, tell me, what solution are you going to try?
